Definition

Disruption of the normal smooth motion of the scapulothoracic joint

- posterior scapula pain with overhead motion

1.  Bony abnormalities

- osteochondromas

- bursitis / scar tissue

- muscular weakness

2% incidence

- 40 - 60 years

- Women 2:1

Sedentary workers

- Non-dominant limb

Bilateral in 10 - 40%
