- integrity of the posterior sacroiliac complex is key

Symphysis pubis < 5mm

SI joint 2-4 mm

Aetiology

 

Direct 

 

Laceration

- exposure / sciatic and superior gluteal nerve

- drill reamer / obturator nerve

- spike of cement / obturator nerve
